Olive Jumpsuit

*Note to self: When looking for future home, make white wall + french window combo priority.* Seriously though, something about a well-lit white room is so fresh and clean to me. Or maybe it's that the half-melted snow + slush combo outside is the yuck-iest ever. The theory of relativity, as Einstein would have said. We may have climbed over some yellow tape to get into this room, but Shhhh ! ;)

Happy first day of Spring, my friends! In that spirit, today's look is my third Spring look with Liberty Sage (the other two looks can be found here and here), and it's got to be my favorite of them all! A jumpsuit is definitely a wardrobe staple in my eyes, but it takes some knowing of one's own frame to find the perfect one. You guys have seen me in jumpsuits before (here and here), but this is the first time I'm trying a non-fitted, wide-legged style that is so on trend this season. I was very skeptical of my ability to carry it off, but I swear I would wear this style everyday just for the comfort factor!  Surprisingly, I found that the roomy fit didn't make me look shapeless at all, but in contrast, the soft chiffon material brought a flowy drape to it that kind of made me look and feel quite sophisticated! Fellow petites, you've gotta try one to know what I'm talking about! :) {Of course, being a shorty (the non-tall kind ;)) meant that the regular Small jumpsuit was a little long, but it isn't anything a little altering can't fix, so ignore the folding over the shoes if you're considering this style in the regular sizes.}

Olive green and gold is a color combination almost written in stone (remember my warm colors with warm metals spiel..?), but I decided to mix things up and wore mixed metal accessories. This delicate lariat necklace from Gosia Meyer Jewelry is handmade, perfect and a sure winner in my jewelry collection for both quality and design! Add this statement Mint and Lolly cuff bracelet in which the silver is filled into the gold, and there's an interesting jewelry mix that pops against the warm olive tone of the jumpsuit.

It's the first official weekend of Spring, you guys! What are you upto?? :)

Thank you for reading, and have a great weekend!

XO Sushmitha :)
