Fall Plaid Skirt

Happy Friday, my peeps! Now that the work week is at an end, I hope everyone being slammed by this behemoth of a polar vortex is staying warm and safe off of the roads. To all others, have an extra of weekend fun for me while I hibernate inside a self-constructed blanket-cave, complete with access to emergency equipment like 1) fully charged phone with pizza delivery on speed dial and 2) the clever contraption that is a coffee warmer. Not kidding at all when I, as a ~12 hour/day sipper of coffee, say that if there is any takeaway from this post, let it be that you NEED this $10 godsend. Merry early Christmas and you're welcome. ;)

Needless to say, the look in today's post sends a shiver down my fleece-covered current self's spine, but what's the internet for if not for inspiration, right? I threw this neutral look together when in California a few weeks back, tucking in a mock-turtleneck dress (last styled here) into this versatile and oh-so-chic woolen plaid skirt. Even as my love for color and print stays unabated, I've slowly been working on building a truly versatile closet full of pieces that can be re-styled and re-worn, and both of these pieces fit that bill exactly!

Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
