Colored Skinnies + Statement Jacket

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I’m happy to be aiding those of you recovering from turkey-induced food comas or turkey trot-induced sore muscles as part of your sedentary to-do list for the day as I myself am having the best time with my family here in Bangalore. The notorious Indian traffic and pollution aside, I had to come back here to realize how much I’d missed so many things- sister selfies, real Indian food and the rainbow-hued, rich-textured fashion that’s inherent to any Indian’s closet, just to name a few. No place like home, as the more wise would say. :)

I couldn’t think of a better way to embrace the tropical climate here than to pick out the brightest color in my suitcase and style it as appropriately as I possibly could without melting into a puddle of sweat! For this casual outfit, pairing the bright red pants with a white tee was a no-brainer… Topping it off with a statement jacket with interwoven threads in navy, red and white that gives it a tweed-like finish took me from daytime exploration of the local gardens to drinks with friends in the evening.

These photos were shot in the beautiful gardens of Lalbagh in Bangalore, where we were lucky to find a secluded shady corner under the midday sun. Comfortable flats served me well in my struggle to keep up when the leisurely stroll turned into a run from the heat!

How would you rock brightly colored skinnies in the cooler months?

Have a fabulous weekend, and safe travels back home to those spending time with family elsewhere!

Thank you for reading!
