Keeping it short and sweet today, thanks to the ill-timed falling of my birthday on a Monday. So yesterday, I was supposed to write this post. But instead, I ate wayyy too much cake and the sugar rush made me drowsy and so on and so forth. A year wiser, a year heavier? ;)

As promised, I'm sharing the outfits that I wore in Goa, where my family and I escaped to on a short beach getaway when I recently visited my home in India. Here's the first of the five outfits that I'm sharing, worn on the first day for a busy day spent exploring charming Old Goa. I went basic with black and white, the white keeping me cool in the humid and hot temperature that was melting me away one drop of sweat at a time. This pair of pleated, printed culottes has been one of my recent sale finds (no longer on sale, but still <$25). Culottes have made a huge comeback since their retro mod days, and to my own surprise, this feminine skirt-ish pair has been versatile and flattering, even on my petite self. They're such a fun alternative to casual denim/pants, don't you think? :)
