Fringe Fest

You know those vacations that need vacations to recover from? Well, I had one of those earlier this week in NYC, and I'm not gonna lie, it's taking quite the effort to write this post, even from the ever-welcoming confines of my bed. But before I doze off into nostalgic dreams of yellow cabs and yummy bagels, I had to say a quick hello to you lovelies!

Today, I'm sharing a fun look that I wore on our first day in NYC. We spent the first half of the day cafe hopping while it rained, and then spent a gorgeous evening walking around Central Park when it cleared up later in the evening. I packed this outfit on a pure whim with no real plans of sharing it on the blog, but we got lucky and had a little corner just opposite my favorite Bow Bridge all to ourselves, so out came the camera! I like to think that this look was inspired by all the festival fashion that's we're seeing now that it's almost Coachella time, except it's the outfit of an East Coaster who isn't really going to Coachella! ;) It's not even close to warm enough to be wearing the kimonos and cut-offs that the lucky ducks going to the music festivals are packing, so my cold-weather fringe fest will have to do! I recently styled this navy top in a different, also festival appropriate boho look here.. which of the two outfits do you like better? :)

Thank you for reading, and have a great weekend!

XO Sushmitha :)
