Ruffles on Ruffles

Last week, I wore yellow in defiance/denial of the change of season, like wearing a sunny sunshiney yellow would hold fall at bay. This week, it appears that I’m wearing yellow in acceptance of the new season… an earthy, mustard yellow that the fall fashion trend forecast informs me to be a trending color. While it seems like I’ve gone through the five stages of grief rather fast, it may be because the temperatures have been delightfully slow to drop! My San Francisco is embracing a fog-less September heat wave that I’m enjoying thoroughly, yellow suddenly becoming the color of choice for my apparent self-expression between the slowly transitioning weeks. But that’s what all of fashion is meant to be anyways, no? :)

Whether or not you’re into over-analyzing your outfit choices like me, here’s a trend that surfaces more often not in my posts lately- ruffles! My love for the trend has only grown from one ruffled post to the other, as you can probably tell from the double dose I’m serving up today. #twotimesthefun It was love at first sight with this one-cold-shoulder ruffled top from my favorite Love Kuza… you’d think the ruffles with the asymmetric hem with the vibrant color would be a bit much, but it all just somehow works so well. Even better if paired with a ruffled and asymmetric hemmed pair of pants, which if you’re surprised at how petite-friendly they are… wait till you check out the price and see how wallet-friendly they are!

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week ahead!
