Hello, sweet friends! Current MO is to put up all of my winter fashion tricks on full display in the hope that the cold will accept it as my last hurrah and call it a day. I mixed up some old and new classic pieces in my closet for a casual layered look that served me well on a brunch + errand outing this past weekend, and I thought I'd share it as inspiration for those of you at your wit's end making everyday fashion choices as this long and harsh winter continues.
You guys know of my love for basics with a twist, and I'd been waiting for a chance to wear this embellished cropped grey sweatshirt since I brought it back with me from India in January. Layered over a chambray shirt and paired with my new favorite Marsala denim, this look kept me cool enough indoors during brunch and warm enough when running around outside for errands. I've been lucky with my budget denim finds online recently (love the pair in this recent post), and my good fortune continues with this pair from Articles of Society. AOS is an LA-based brand that offers quality denim at affordable prices, and I'm happy to report that both pairs I've tried so far have been satisfactory in both fit and design! Stay tuned for another look featuring AOS denim soon. :)
