The Knit Poncho

February's here, which means that we're a teeny bit closer to Spring. Yayyy! The sun now sets at 5 pm instead of 3 pm, and you guys, the fact that it is sometimes not entirely dark when I leave work gives me more hope than I can ever begin to express. You're probably responding with a "Dramatic much, Ms.MS?", but sun babies in cold climates will relate when I say that I shall be truly alive again when Spring arrives. Cannot wait!

I have an exciting start to February on the blog, as I'm teaming up with one of my favorite online boutiques, Pink Blush, to bring you three fun winter looks this week. Ponchos and Capes have been proclaimed cold-weather staples for a few seasons now, and have made quite the journey from the shapeless blanket-like thingy worn a few generations ago! While my cape is my favorite piece of outerwear in moderately cold weather, I'm finding this knit poncho sweater to be better suited for the bitter cold temperatures this time of the year. The structured sleeves perfectly balance out the roomy poncho styled body of the sweater (Petites, hear hear!), and the tribal print + tasseled hem add an almost boho feel to the outfit. The woolen knit is thick and warm like a cozy blanket.. I was hugging myself the whole time I was wearing it!

What do you think of poncho sweaters? Have you given it a try yet? :)

Thank you for reading, and have a great week ahead!

XO Sushmitha :)
