Mod Sweater Dress

Back at the biz after a little life-enforced hiatus to say hello, February! Politically inclined or not, you have to admit that it's with a strange mix of feelings that those of us that call ourselves global citizens welcome the month of love. On the one hand, I'm tempted to be swept away by the deluge of positive vibes-y posts in my social media feeds and trust that humanity is not about to implode on itself, but thennnnn, I'm also huddled up inside two sets of comforters as I sign up for the scientists' march during the coldest month of the year, so there's that. #nopunintended Time will tell, I suppose, but in the meantime, we may as well eat the chocolates, accept the flowers and thank Saint Valentine for a welcome excuse to celebrate love. If you're reading this, are you politically engaged where you live? :) If so, what's your take on the recent unusual events on the global stage?

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I'm not serving up much typical outfit inspo this year compared to years past owing to my own valentine being 3,000 miles away and oh, also, it's way too cold for normal-people-clothes out there. I may just throw on a red lip to celebrate my gal-entines and if I do, this fleece-lined sweater dress is a tempting choice over a pair of tights or two. The fleece lining literally feels like a cozy blanket, you guys, and I love the mod vibes of the contrast-lined pockets and sleeves!  I threw on a blanket scarf and a wide-brim hat on a rainy day pizza excursion and couldn't have been cozier if I'd tried. :)

Thank you for reading and have a fabulous week!
XO Sushmitha :)
