Palm Print Dress

Happy hump day, you! It's all slouchy shoulders and sigh marathons over here after having too much fun for my own good on an extended weekend getaway to NYC.. how one recovers from four days filled to the brim with the dangerous trio of girlfriends, Rosé and 35 degree weather is currently a matter of much concern to me. Aside from practically suffocating in subway stations at the approx. frequency of 10 times per day, we had the best time catching up with old friends and new, and I've come home a much reassured quarter life-r after having heard and said more than a few delighted exchanges of "Oh my God, you haven't changed at all!"! We did shoot some fun looks for this corner amidst our wanderings, so stay tuned. :)

One of my favorite things about this time of year is the sight of roses in full bloom, and I'm guilty of running amok on the streets on more than one occasion just to smell their sweet fragrance. Imagine my delight, then, upon going to the rose garden in Delaware Park to find rows and rows of pink rose shrubs beautiful and blooming! I wore this fit and flare palm print H&M dress that I simply adore.. the fit is so flattering, the print is on point and the fact that I snagged it for $4 (!) during their July 4th sale makes it one of my best buys lately. Since the garden's located by the lake where it's generally windy, I threw on K's white button-down over the dress. I think it lends a cool resort-wear vibe to the whole outfit.. what do you think? :) While this look is casual, laid back and perfect for an afternoon stroll, I would switch out these accessories for a red lip, a nice updo and nude heels if I were heading to dinner after.

As always, thank you for reading and have a great week!
XO Sushmitha :)
